Waterside Books have for over 15 years supplied top quality books, travel guides, maps and gift books to the travel industry. A recent expansion plan has enabled us to bring that expertise direct to the customer through a direct selling book distribution service.
We are now offering customers the ability to browse and buy in their home or through their workplace - high quality publications, at a fraction of the cost and without the hassle of the high street.
You may decide to operate conventional workplace drops distributing sample packs of books into the workplace for collection the following week, run book parties for friends and relatives or sell through your own network of contacts – all are quite acceptable.
You may want to work full or part time, by yourself or with a partner – that’s up to you.
There are currently some successful agents earning £25,000 or more each year doing just this – and of course it does depend upon what your goals are and the amount of effort you are prepared to put in.
We are currently seeking local Independent Book Agents and Regional Coordinators – male, female, young or old … it makes no difference as long as you have the desire to succeed.
Full training, documentation and products are supplied without any outlay by you. Very few direct selling opportunities offer this low risk option.

Independent Book Agents – This role involves the development of a number of rounds of workplace drops where you will leave a small selection of book along with an order sheet. The following week you will return and collect the books and fulfil any orders placed. You may also operate party plan to build your income even higher.
You will be working with the guidance of your Regional Coordinator who will assist you to develop a lucrative business. You decide how many hours you wish to work and you can earn an uncapped income. If you want to work with a partner you may do so if you wish.
Full time agents can expect to sell around £2,000 per week of products earning themselves around £500. We also have a recruitment incentive which can increase your income even further.
Regional Coordinators – This role is full time and involves developing a large postcode region so you will have plenty of scope. The role involves recruiting 20 to 30 (more if you wish) Independent Book Agents, training them and encouraging them to achieve good target sales in the area they are working. You will be in regular contact with them, delivering product and offering guidance to increase their activity.
This is a commission only position and we pay commission on all sales achieved by the agents under your care. Weekly incomes of £500 to £1,500 are quite possible but it does depend on the amount of effort you put in. There will be some achievable targets set so this is not for the feint of heart, but we want you to succeed so we will be helping you all the way!
You can also act as your own agent and have your own rounds initially, helping to grow your income early on. This would be a great arrangement for two or more in partnership together.
You will require a reasonable sized van as your business grows and you will have to cost in fuel, insurance, phone calls etc as you travel your region. Other than this we provide all stock, leaflets etc to support your efforts.
